Strypers Families
As you know,
Districts are speeding towards us very FAST! Since we are hosting this
event this year, I NEED a number
of people to step up to the block and participate to help make it
run as smoothly as possible. Right now, we only have a couple
of volunteers. But WE NEED
A
LOT
MORE to contribute their time and energy
into making this a success, for our swimmers. The job sign up
list is posted on the web. WE NEED
ALL THE HELP WE CAN GET.
Greatly appreciated,
Terri

The South Shore YMCA Strypers is a USA and
YMCA year round competitive swim team offering high quality
professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and
abilities. The goal of the Strypers is to provide every member an
opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his
or her level of ability, from novice to international
competitor.
Each new swimmer will be placed in an
appropriate practice group (Minis, Gold, Age Group, Senior II,
Senior I) best suited for him or her, so that each swimmer can
enjoy some degree of success in a relatively short time. Since
swimming is an individual sport, each child will perform
differently, but you can be sure that your child will get out of it
as much as he or she puts into it.
All of our coaches, as members of the American
Swim Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive
training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport
in the United States. They provide assurances that the time
children spend in swimming will be quality time.
The South Shore YMCA Strypers swim team is a YMCA
program operating with the broader association structure. It is
lead by the Head Coach and YMCA Management. All "dry-side"
activities are coordinated by the Head Coach through a volunteer
parent committee who meet once a month to plan and execute team
events.
We are constantly growing and training young
swimmers to maintain a well rounded competitive swim team and to
embrace the YMCA’s Four Core Values of Caring, Honesty,
Respect and Responsibility. Thank you for joining us.
